Growing An MLM Business Is Like Baseball PDF Print E-mail
Written by Eric Wilkes
Everyone who gets involved in an MLM network marketing business has a burning desire for success. We all have different reasons why we get involved but we all dream about hitting a GRANDSLAM. The reality is that you must learn to be patient and apply your newfound knowledge the right way or it will never happen. If you drill down the required steps you must follow to become successful, building your MLM network marketing business is a lot like baseball.

Have you ever heard that it’s hard to hit a round ball with a round bat, square? Baseball players know that every time they walk out onto the field that the odds are statistically stacked against them. In their mind, they know there is a far better chance of them getting an out before they get on base. If they got up to bat and swung for the fence every time they'll more than likely fail before they succeed.

Try to envision and understand that as you build your MLM business you're going to get knocked down a few times (strikeout) before you will succeed. Every time you prospect someone about your product or opportunity more than likely they’re going to be uninterested. That’s ok, don’t let it discourage you, just keep your eye on the ball! Over time, the law of averages will take its course and you will find someone who is interested in your product and your opportunity.

It’s a numbers game through and through. Think about this, baseball players don’t whine or cry when they get an out because they know that baseball is a numbers game. They know they are consistent with their efforts and continue to step in the batter’s box, eventually the round bat will connect with the round ball square and they'll get a hit. It could be a single, a double, a triple, or even a homerun. The only guarantee is that if you don’t swing the bat, you’re never going to get a hit.

With your MLM business you just have to talk to massive amounts of people about your product or opportunity. With consistent effort and a little hard work, you’re eventually going to find that one person that will to take your business to the next level. Success doesn't happen over night, but it's sure worth the wait. In the meantime as you're building a successful MLM business be sure you swing for a whole bunch of singles. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Eric,

This is sooo true! Success does NOT happen overnight. Unless you win the
lottery or get passe d on lots of money, you have to go and make some h ome run
s on your own.

And it really IS okay to g et some strikeouts. That's the best
part of the ga me! Most don't see it that way; only the smart one s.

The reason
strikeouts are the best part of the game is this:

It's the time to learn how
to make your hit so much better than the last.

Basically , use your mistakes a
s a tool to help guide you an d make your next hit bigger and better!

Learn and
you will earn...

Thanks, Eric!

Eric, this is so true. The pros get paid Millions to strike out 7 out of 10 tim
es, its funny really when you think you can always bat 1.000. Not even the bes
t Network Marketing Pros can do that! Havin g the mentality that you are talking
about here I know applies to me, just keep stepping up to the p late.

Wow...you really drive home some important points  !Great analogy too... We
all need lots of patience  to keep going when things don't happen for us
ex actly as we hoped or planned on.We also need that  drive to be not
just persistent, but most importantly consistent taking those swings everyday at the plate, even i f there not huge swings.
..I originally came into  networking marketing to GET RICH QUICK and while
t hat didn't happen for me overnight, I know that al ong the Road To
Riches I have been learning and g rowing all the while, becoming a better
person... Don't worry though , I am still going to get rich  , the th
ought of unlimited financial independence  has kept me focused on my goals
all this time and  I know of no better opportunity for the average pe
rson to succeed in todays crazy marketplace than  free enterprise and netw
ork...
