Have you ever wondered how much time you spend sitting in your car at intersections waiting for traffic lights to change to green? Sometimes it seems like the wait is forever and when it finally does change you may have to snap out of your momentary trance to push the accelerator and continue ahead on the same road you were traveling. You continue through light after light going mile after mile in the same direction.

 

Our lives and our work resemble in some ways the routine of waiting at the intersection for the light to change green. We spend month after month and year after year trading time for money and the longer we sit waiting for the light to change the more we realize we are running out of time and in some cases money too.

 

We subconsciously continue through the next intersection of our lives when the light changes never really thinking that maybe we should have turned to go a new direction. We begin to understand as the miles click off behind us that the road we are going down is probably not going to take us where we eventually want to end up.

Network Marketing is a numbers game and often people will hear when a prospect objects to purchasing a product or service from you. Naturally when someone says "NO" a bit of discouragement settles in and we begin to think "that's it". We want everyone to say "YES" every single time but as we all know our products and services aren't for everyone.

 

Here is a huge tip: More business is lost on a daily basis which keeps even the big fortune 500 companies up late at night because they're still trying to figure out how to teach sales reps the difference between a buying question and an objection. How many years of practice and training does it take to master something like that?

 

Network marketing takes time to learn and master the techniques to build a giant business. However it doesn't take years of practice to learn the difference between a buying question and an objection to start building the foundation of a successful business. It doesn't happen overnight but understanding that we are able to primarily able to tell the difference between a buying question and an objection by the tone in the prospects voice is a major factor in your success.

Finding enough people to talk to about your product or service is one of the most difficult challenges you will face as a marketer. Generally speaking there are usually only two ways that a new representative is taught to find leads:

  1. Create a list of their warm market (friends and family) and then pitching their product or service/opportunity to them.
  2. Buy expensive leads of people who are seeking a home based business opportunity

Although the warm market approach works for some people meaning about 1% of all network marketers, it's generally not a good idea. You are limited in the amount of people you can prospect and there are many reasons why, however it's not the topic of this post. Instead we're going to analyze buying expensive business opportunity seeker leads.
